Post-Christmas Resolution, Day 80 – Missing Your Child’s Events Makes An Impression

My son will have his whole family in the audience for his band concert tonight.

Normally I wouldn’t mention attending your child’s events as a time to give because its common sense to a lot of parents. Nonetheless, its very important.

When I was in high school, I very distinctly remember when my father did and didn’t attend my home basketball games. He went to quite a few, but missed quite a few others. I remember asking my mother why he sometimes didn’t attend. I remember that there wasn’t a reason.

Missing the small things in a child’s life create an impression. And its not a good one.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
