Post-Christmas Resolution, Day 87 – The Difference Between Rich And Poor? Three Blocks

I asked a homeless man how he was doing. He said “Hungry.” So I gave him some In-N-Out burger gift cards I had bought earlier.

Homeless on bench

As I sit in the lounge of our hotel tonight, I’m reminded of the disparity between rich and poor. While this hotel isn’t opulent, (We wouldn’t be staying here if it was) it is pretty nice.

And yet, three blocks away, there are people like the man I mentioned above who are hungry and homeless.

No moral statements about that. It’s just true.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
