Post-Christmas Resolution, Day 108 – Hopefully Saved A Life

Hopefully saved the life of a red tailed hawk that we found injured by our house tonight.

photo of hawkA neighbor girl spotted a red tail hawk down with a broken wing by our house. We called several animal shelters and they recommended we try to get him inside. He didn’t stand much of a chance tonight with the coyotes around.

So as a team, my family and the neighbor’s family got the hawk in a box with a heating pad for the night. I hope that we find him alive in the morning. If he has survived the night, we’ll take him to the Audubon Society of Portland in the morning.

Kudos to everyone who helped the little guy out. Even our feathered friends need help once and awhile.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
