Summer is officially here in the Pacific Northwest. Kids around the region got out of school yesterday. Vacations are starting. Relaxing is beginning.
But is relaxation our goal? Is it really what we want out of life? Do we really want a life of lying on hot beaches splashing in the waves?
It sounds good, it feels good, and it can bring some much-needed stress relief. But is that really what we work for? Do we work to live or work to give?
Just a thought to ponder while you are at the beach.
Interesting. I think its a grass is always greener type scenario. When I’m working I look forward to holidays to relax and “do nothing” but on those rare occassions when I’ve had an extended period of time off, I get bored and restless and feel very unproductive. Everything in moderation.
Maybe too much ‘rest’ makes us ‘restless’. Good thoughts!
