Post-Christmas Resolution, Day 192 – For The Greater Good

Not a lot of very innovative giving this Independence Day, but hopefully valuable to the family nonetheless … Took a long afternoon bike ride with my son … cooking supper on the barbecue tonight … and in spite of my intrepidation , I am taking my family to see one of the big fireworks displays.

There comes a time when one must put aside one’s own preferences for that of the greater good.

I have never liked fireworks. But this year, I’m sucking it up so my wife and children can see one of the big firework displays. By any standard, this is a tiny sacrifice, but one I should have made a long time ago.

Who knows, maybe I’ll learn to like them.

Happy Independence Day, everyone!

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
