Today was the first day in our new office. Got a group email asking for some help unpacking boxes. I helped.
We get a lot of group email requests, but to how many do we actually respond?
Obviously, we don’t want to send our money to Nigeria, invest in cheap pills, or be the first one on the block to own a ______.
But if a friend asks for help in a group email, do we just ignore it? Or, do we respond quickly?
There is a lot of spam out there, true. And it is easy to ignore the group email.
But in the end, there is still a person on the other end looking for help.
Nice one. Sometimes I think there is a lack of responsibility when it comes to a collective call-out – everyone thinks someone else will do it. Good for you for breaking out of that! These giving projects of ours certainly make such decisions much easier and quicker.
Thanks! Yes, it does become easier to decide to give something the more you do it. That idea may be worth a post sometime.
