Post-Christmas Resolution, Day 318 – Sometimes We Fall Down

“Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won’t help.”

— Calvin and Hobbes

I walked into a Chipotle restaurant and a woman fell down.

Toddler running and falling

She was near the drink station, slipped and went down in a heap. I cut through the line, walked over and helped her up, then got a manager. No other customer moved. It all happened too fast.

Not being badly hurt, she was soon talking to a couple employees about her sore elbow. Hopefully, there was just a bruise and some damaged feelings.

We fall down sometimes. It happens. It’s embarrassing. It’s part of life.

All we can do is pick ourselves up.

Helped a lady who had fallen. I didn’t ask if she was wearing her lucky rocketship underpants.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!

Falling down IS embarrassing. Recently at the mall, a grandma tripped over the baby stroller she was pushing and fell, spilling the toddler person on the ground also. My friend, Linda and I helped her up and another shopper shared some Wet Wipes to help them clean up. She was OK, and the tator tot was crying from the shock of it. But you are right, falling down happens. It was awfully nice of you to help the Chipotle lady up!
