A Quorum Of Compliments

A quorum is the minimum number of members of an organization that must be present at a meeting to conduct business.

Postcards from Oregon

Tonight, as I sat through one such meeting via conference call, it occurred to me that perhaps people need quorums as well. Maybe there’s a minimum number of greetings, words of encouragement, or compliments that each of us need everyday.

In that spirit, I sought out three seriously ill children via Post Pals, and wrote out a post card with a picture of Oregon’s coast on it. These are quite nice post cards and I hope that it helps brighten the days of Nia, Molly and Phillip.

If you think that children need a lot of praise, you can help. Go buy a pack of postcards from your town, state or country. Head over to Post Pals, find a child that might need some cheer, write a note, and help them reach their quorum of compliments.

Sent out some cheer to three sick children. I hope that it helps them reach their smile quorum.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
