Responsibility Is Your Choice

If you own a house or rent an apartment, you have to do housework.

Or, you don’t.

The choice is yours, but the mess is yours as well.

If you live in a neighborhood, you have to help clean up the neighborhood.

Or, you don’t.

The choice is yours, but the neighborhood problems are yours as well.

If you live in a community, you need to help take care of that community.

Or, you don’t.

The choice is yours, but the results of a dysfunctional community is yours to bear.

We always have the choice to take responsibility in our home, neighborhood, or community. It’s our choice. No one is making us responsible.

But, no matter what we choose, we still have to live with the mess.

Today’s gift of time … Did the dishes for our neighbor after a fun evening barbecuing.
