Worldwide Day Of Giving

“Wherever a man turns he can find someone who needs him.”

  — Albert Schweitzer

What would it take for you to make a difference …

… today?

Only you can answer that.

I tried something different tonight to choose where my $10 would go. I posted on Facebook that I’d donate $10 to the first person to respond to my post would get that money donated to a charity of their choice. I was happy when my friend Ryan chose the Wounded Warriors Project.

I was happy because my $10 went to a worthy cause. I was also happy because I wasn’t familiar with this charity so I learned about a great organization as well.

Whenever I give, it’s especially gratifying when I can meet someone that is doing good work in the community or learn of a new-to-me organization doing good work. It’s reinforcement of my belief that there is vastly more good in the world than bad.

It’s not too late to donate $10 to a charity of your choice in honor of the World Wide Day of Giving.

Today’s gift of time … Played a little free rice, played a game of Settlers of Catan with my son and his friend. Also, donated $10 to the Wounded Warriors Project.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
