It’s Not A Waste Of Time

“Nothing is a waste of time if you use the experience wisely.”

— Auguste Rodin

One of the side benefits of volunteering in many different ways is the chance to explore new things.

It’s a chance to visit new places, meet new people, and try new experiences. It’s a way to explore and to grow. It’s an opportunity to build resume skills and find a place where you fit.  It’s a method to get involved in something to which you might never had another way in. It’s a path to becoming the person you want to be.

One thing it is never – a waste of time.

Yesterday’s gift of time … Thanks to a sparked.com challenge, I got to discover a cool, new software that lets you easily add subtitles to a video – Amara – universalsubtitles.org. With that I was able to help the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand in a tiny way.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
