“The years teach much which the days never knew.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
When you are angry or depressed, the world looks black.
But hard as it is*, try to be patient. Get a good night’s sleep. Change your brain chemistry with exercise. Give it time. Black eventually fades to gray.
Just like those old favorite black jeans which are now gray. Not any old gray, but a gray full of memories – of good times, of hard times, of black times, of light times. It’s a gray that knew black, but now knows more. Gray looks different than black.
Maybe that’s why the world looks different after we turn gray.
