A campaign isn’t about words and talk and bluster. It’s not about lies and fact-checking and hypocrisy. It’s not about us and them. It’s not about blather and empty promises. It’s not about fund raisers and campaign stops. It’s not about kissing babies and it’s certainly not about kissing up for dollars.

Ultimately, a campaign really is about action. The action necessary to make change, help each other, better our society, and improve our world. It’s not the promises that count, it’s the fulfillment.

And that’s why the campaign starts today. Your campaign. The campaign to make your small part of the world better today, and tomorrow, and the next day. Not by doing just what you did yesterday, but by doing more and doing it differently today.

It’s a secret because only you know what you’ll do. Want to change your government, volunteer at your local school. Want better roads, pick up trash. Want your taxes spent differently, give time to a citizen action committee. Want more citizen involvement, volunteer and talk about it.

It’s up to you to make a difference. Don’t talk negatively, talk positively. Give more, complain less. Don’t react, act. Start your campaign today.
