Giving Tuesday

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

— Anne Frank

First, it was Black Friday.

Then, it was Cyber Monday.

Now a better idea, Giving Tuesday.

From the website,

“#GivingTuesday™ is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.”

There’s a Facebook page, Twitter feed, and a YouTube channel to help you connect. But it takes more than just a clever holiday name to change the course of a person’s life. It takes action from people that care. People like you and me.

If you can make time today to help a person that needs a hand up, or a non-profit that serves a community in need, please do so.

Make this Tuesday a Giving Tuesday.

* Kudos to Paul at GYA today for introducing me to Giving Tuesday.

Yesterday’s gift of time … Changed the reader board at my daughter’s school.

About Eric Winger

Our perception of time is key to how we use our time. The most fundamental way to change that perception is to give our time. This opens us up to new opportunities and ideas from which we can build to really make a difference. ... Yes, we *do* have time to make a difference!
