As the holidays approach, many of us are planning vacation, family gatherings, shopping trips, Christmas presents, religious festivities, or how much money to donate to charity for this year’s tax write-off.

But it might be worth a few minutes of our time to plan how we will use our time to help others.

Because if you’re going to make a difference to someone this Christmas, this year, or in this life, making a plan will help turn that wish into reality.

A plan to help others may be among the best laid plans.

Yesterday’s gift of time … My daughter and I changed the reader board at her school. I’m sure she’s planning to have a good winter vacation.
