“When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.”
— Alexander Graham Bell
When you open a door for someone, you open more than a door.
You open a mind.
Whether it’s opening the door of a school, a service organization, your home, or a metaphorical door to a new way of doing things, you’re helping to bridge a gap between people and cultures, between ignorance and ideas.
When you open a door, you open a mind.
Quite often your own.
Today’s gift of time … We are hosting a student, Kate, from Kazakhstan, for the year. As a surprise bonus we were able to briefly open the door to our home tonight and welcome other students from Ukraine, Thailand, and Germany.
What a fun adventure ahead! Here’s to the door that you’ve opened…and to many more!
Thank you!
