About Eric

Hi, My name is Eric Winger. By trade, I’m a software engineer. By choosing, I’m a husband, father, speaker, runner, and a volunteer.

The day after Christmas 2010, I decided that there has to be a way that I could give back much more to my family,  my neighborhood, my community and my world.

To do so, I started giving the most precious resource that we all have. Time.

Time is something that we all have exactly the same amount of everyday. By aligning our needs with those of the people and community around us, we start to see the opportunities to make a difference that are right before us.

Giving time is more than just volunteering (but that’s a part of it), being kind (but that’s a part of it), being an inspiration (but that’s a part of it), helping out (but that’s a part of it) or doing good deeds (but that’s a part of it). It’s the intentional thoughts and actions that define us. It’s recognizing that we *do* have time to help out and make a difference. It’s the community that we build up around us. It’s about finding success by building a foundation of generosity that we build ourselves upon.

In short, we can become the people we really want to be by giving our time.

I not only write about the concept of giving time and it’s nuances, but about all the people I meet who are also giving time. Right here and right now.

Thanks for stopping by!
